Strandell-Stille Retractors

RI-000030 In thoracic and cardiovascular procedures, Cooley retractors are a frequent surgical tool. They bear the name of Dr. Denton A. Cooley, a distinguished American heart surgeon who made substantial contributions to the development of cardiovascular surgery. By retracting tissues and structures, Cooley retractors are intended to enable exposure and access to the surgical site. Two curved blades or prongs plus a handle are the standard components of these retractors. To improve vision and lower the chance of tissue damage, the blades are frequently fenestrated or perforated. The handle is ergonomically made to provide a secure grip and good control while in use.
