St.Marks Retractors

RI-000069 A typical type of surgical tool used in numerous medical operations is the St.Marks Retractors They were created and made popular in the late 19th century by a prominent Polish physician by the name of Theodor St.Marks Retractors. Handheld equipment called St.Marks Retractors are made to hold back tissues, giving surgeons better access to and visibility of the surgical site. They are made up of two curved blades linked at the pivot. In order to maintain the proper tissue retraction, the blades can be opened and locked into place.
