Kelly Retractors

RI-000024 Surgical tools called Kelly retractors, usually referred to as Kelly forceps or Kelly clamps, are frequently employed in a variety of medical procedures. They bear the name Howard Atwood Kelly after the American gynaecologist and surgeon who invented and made the device well-known. Kelly retractors are adaptable tools with serrated jaws that have horizontal grooves or ridges and a curved, tapered shape. During surgical procedures, these retractors are generally employed to hold and retract tissues or organs, giving surgeons better view and access to the operative site. The retractors are especially helpful in operations when a moderate level of tissue retraction is required because of their curved design, which enables deeper tissue retraction.
