Langenbeck Retractors

RI-000029 A type of surgical tool called a Langenbeck retractor is used to hold back the edges of an incision and improve visibility and access to the surgical region. They bear the name Bernhard von Langenbeck after the German physician who created this device in the 19th century. These retractors normally have two or more curved blades joined by a handle and are constructed of premium stainless steel. The blades’ gentle holding back of the incision’s edges enables the surgeon to operate with greater accuracy and precision.
